Educa\u0163iunea str\u0103in\u0103 implic\u0103 spirit str\u0103in, cultura str\u0103in\u0103 ba. Educa\u0163iunea e cultura caracterului, cultura e educa\u0163iunea min\u0163ii. Educa\u0163iunea are a cultiva inima \u015fi moravurile, cultura are a educa mintea. De aceea, un om bine educat, cu inim\u0103, caracter \u015fi moravuri bune, poate s\u0103 fie c-un cerc restr\u00e2ns de cuno\u015ftin\u0163e, pe c\u00e2nd, din contra, cultura, cuno\u015ftin\u0163ele cele mai vaste pot fi cuprinse de un om f\u0103r\u0103 caracter, imoral, f\u0103r\u0103 inim\u0103. Astfel fiind, cultura str\u0103in\u0103 ca atare nu poate strica pe om pentru c\u0103 trece prin prisma unui caracter, a unei inimi deja formate; educa\u0163iunea, cre\u015fterea, cade, \u00eens\u0103, \u00een pericolul acela al vie\u0163ii omene\u015fti c\u00e2nd inima \u00eenc\u0103 neformat\u0103 a omului seam\u0103n\u0103 unei buc\u0103\u0163i de cear\u0103 \u00een care po\u0163i imprima ce vrei, iar c\u00e2nd inima, cu v\u00e2rsta, se-mpietre\u015fte, n-o mai po\u0163i \u00eendrepta, o po\u0163i numai rupe. Aceasta-i pedeapsa ce ne-o d\u0103 Dumnezeu pentru c-am f\u0103cut din \u015fcoli numai unelte \u00een care se \u00eengr\u0103m\u0103de\u015fte \u00eenv\u0103\u0163area unei mul\u0163imi de cuno\u015ftin\u0163e, f\u0103r\u0103 s\u0103 fi \u00eengrijit deloc pentru cre\u015fterea inimei \u015fi caracterului, c\u0103ci niciodat\u0103 t\u0103ria unui popor n-a stat \u00een instruc\u0163ie \u015fi numai \u00een instruc\u0163ie, ci totdeauna \u00een cre\u015ftere. O cuno\u015ftin\u0163\u0103, mai ales \u00een \u015fcoalele secundare, care nu are rol educativ, e o cuno\u015ftin\u0163\u0103 stearp\u0103 \u015fi nefolositoare.
